This April Fools’ Day, you can start the tomfoolery off with a free cup of coffee — and that's not a prank.
“Remember last April Fools’ when Dunkin’ gave away a million free coffees and people thought it was a prank?” the brand asks. “Well, this year, Dunkin’ is going even bolder!”
This is where the humor comes in, because this year, Dunkin’ is doing one better — literally one single coffee better — by giving away 1,000,001 free hot or iced coffees of any size.
The chain revealed the news this morning via a press release and a tongue-in-cheek Instagram post of a text to the “Boss.”
All rewards members have to do is open the Dunkin’ app today and enter the promo code STILLNOTAJOKE to redeem their free brew while supplies last. This offer excludes extra-large and cold brew coffees.

Other Chains Offering Deals for April Fools' Day
Several restaurants are skipping the obvious (and some would say exhausting) jokes this April Fools’ Day, opting instead to give away freebies and discounts.
Restaurants in this category include Hooters, Qdoba and The Cheesecake Factory, the latter of which is giving rewards members a free slice of its signature cheesecake. It’s redeemable on April 1 and valid for anyone who downloads the app and logs in to their account.
Additionally, between April 1-2, Checkers & Rally’s is selling its Big Buford burger for $3, so if you miss the jokey festivities today, you have one more day to get in on an April deal.
Chipotle is also again offering BOGO burritos, free double protein add-on rewards and for a few lucky winners, free burritos for a year, through the return of its Burrito Vault game. The game and rewards are available now until April 2, or National Burrito Day.
