House Republicans went home for a two week spring break, after passing their own short-term funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security that’s destined for failure in the Senate. House Speaker Mike Johnson led the charge against a different bill that was unanimously passed by the Republican-led Senate the night before. It comes as President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Friday to temporarily pay TSA agents. NBC’s Julie Tsirkin reports for Saturday TODAY. March 28, 2026
