Pink is setting the record straight after reports surfaced that she and husband Carey Hart had separated.

The “Cover Me in Sunshine” singer posted an Instagram video on Feb. 26 denying the rumors and writing in the caption, “Like I always say. If you don’t hear it from me, don’t believe the hype. Stay tuned though! Who knows what could happen next!?!”

In the selfie video, which contains strong language, Pink calls out the outlets that reported the separation.

“So, I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband. I didn’t know,” she says, naming the publications and jokingly thanking them for “letting me know.”

“I was wondering, would you also like to tell our children, my 14-year-old and 9-year-old are also unaware,” she said. “Or do you want to talk about some real news?”

Instead, Pink suggested talking about the Epstein files, systemic racism or misogyny in sports, among other topics.

“Or how classy the women’s hockey team is, or how eight of the 12 medals won in the Olympics this year for the US were won by women,” she continued. “Or do you maybe want to talk about the fact that I got nominated the first year I was eligible for the Rock and Roll m------------ Hall of Fame? Do you want to talk about my accomplishments, or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise?”

Pink called the reports “fake news, not true,” before telling her followers that she loves them and “go with God.”

She ended her message by telling “trash news” to “do better.”

Pink and the former motocross racer have been married for 20 years. They first met in 2001 at the X Games and got married in 2006. Pink and Hart share two children together, daughter Willow, 14, and son Jameson, 9.

The couple, however, has broken up before. Once in 2003 before they got engaged two years later, and another time in 2008. They got back together a year later.

When asked about reconciling in a February 2013 interview with Redbook, Pink said, “People are always like, ‘Why did you get back together?’ Well, we weren’t done.”

At the time, she said that 11 months after they broke up, Hart invited her to perform at his Las Vegas club on New Year's Eve. She then gave him a photo album with cards he had given her.

“On the last page, I pasted a photo of me from a really bad movie I made years ago with my neck slit and blood everywhere,” she said. “Next to it I wrote, ‘This is me without you.’ On the next page, there was a picture of a baby. And I wrote: ‘The rest is unwritten.’ The divorce papers that we never signed were behind that page. I was like, ‘The rest is up to you.’”

She also told the Los Angeles Times in October 2023 that her song “So What” was part of what got them together.

Over the years, Pink has been candid about her 20-year marriage, telling The Guardian in 2019, “Monogamy is work! But you do the work and it’s good again.”
